What are Relationships?

Are relationships a series of future exs?

a spate of rebounds?

an anthology of lessons in love, lust and ultimately, life?

a flurry of jabs onto our heart to harden and to eventually be afraid to once again open?

a status symbol or a Facebook status itself?

a polar play of egos or twin flames?

a regular mission for survival?

a mini politic?

a state envious of our happy friends?

a step closer to contentment or disillusionment?

a challenge to constantly win over?

a loop of guilty pleasures?

an addiction to avoid or to savor?

a presumption to procreate?

a chasing game?

a battle to make and prove victorious?

a laboratory to test and remix romantic ideals in?

a home to squat in?

a blueprint for completeness?

a surrender to the stars' prophecies?

a mold to find tolerance and acceptance in?

a haven for self-proclaimed victims of failed romances?

a trophy to wear and take pictures with?

a beautiful junk of memories to dispose of later on?

a threshold to a lifetime of happiness?

a timebomb to infidelity?

a movie to live in and a theme song to live by?

a duty to pursue or a choice to abandon?

a bucket to drain your gripes about the
society's indifference into?

a crutch to prop you up when you outgrow your past relationships?

a quilt to warm you in your deathbed?

Personally, I wanna grow new than old with someone.
That is, I want my life lived like it were my first and last day every single time I am with this person.
THAT is a relation-ship to me.
A relation as a way to tell a story.
A ship to helm with me.
Two lives.
One story.
One author and that's neither of us two.
But that intangible designer called Love
