Sugarquote

Why do people always seek the Bible for quotations? Is it the "be-all and end-all" of things to weaponize themselves against people they'd like to debunk in a sweep?

These people arguing on social media, I don't even see them reading the Bible in person, in most chances our paths cross, or in their photos; much less "mastering" the Bible in any sense their publicly self-aggrandizing life could prove. Don't give me that "I pray in private" shit when you have more photos bragging about your new car, new clothes, new gadgets, new house or condo, new selfie with a celebrity, new project/job/promotion, new fit body, new gift from a BF/GF, new hotel to check into, new country to visit than proof of your spirituality.

We need to learn how to PROPERLY USE THE BIBLE. It's alarmingly becoming a beacon of hate, of offense-defense pull, of "wala ka sa lolo ko" sense of debate.

God really favors us quoting Him that way? To pin each other down? Really?
