Merry?

Three-hundred plus days into this year's Christmas saw a multitude of firsts in my life.
First Car.
First Concert.
First TV Guesting.
First Personal Make-Up Kit (yes, I had to own & know how to use one!)
First Out-of-Country Gift to Family.
First Familial Grief.
First time to work with so many different people in the entertainment industry.
Perhaps what's making this Christmas exceptionally different is that first time unbecoming me - first time to miss the parties, every single one of them.
Zeroing in, it's work (or the dire need for it) that's deserving all the weight of the blame.
Or is it or my choices?

That I choose to work harder because I need to be responsible for the upkeep of my first car;
that I choose to abstain from staying up too late to prepare for a grand follow-up to VFort's concert;
that I choose to set my sights upon landing another TV guesting stint by staying true to the bachelor form - eligible;
that I choose to put on a productive face than a superficial, carousing face;
that I choose to save more for the Guelas' Hong Kong trip next year;
that I choose to celebrate special occasions with my family that eternally inspires yet sporadically expires; and
that I choose to meet more people related to my career than to my partyphilic bearing.

Zeroing in, it's Life.
It's not taking our blessings for granted.
It's the expression of gratitude to Life that sustains while others have just lost it.
It's chasing Life like every waking day is a first and not a tradition to party.
Life, in itself, is a party.

Choosing to be merry this Christmas is by choice, not by carouse.

Merry Christmas to you, Reader.
And thank you for taking KristoPersnickety's Mind as your choice.

Hope or Nope?

Don't get me wrong;
i love this country so much
but sometimes it occurs to me whether
PAG-ASA means HOPE
or loosely,
DEPENDENCY (pag-"asa").

We litter dahil umaasang may Metro Aide.

We procrastinate dahil umaasang may bukas at may last-ditch cramming.

We forgive law violators dahil umaasang magbabago sila or mukha naman kasi silang mabait.

We vote for a Messiah and not a Leader in every sense of the word dahil umaasang yun nga, Messiah sila.

4th Pivot

Major turning points in one's life happen every 7 years.
Now that I'm at my 4th pivot,
I'm changing my age,
my river's flow,
and
my circles' borderlines.

Time for KrisTOUGH to KristofFLY.

The Eve's 3 Words

How can 3 words
"hello, u around?"
be more powerful than our
"i love you"
before?

Pain indeed creates long-lasting scars than love does stars

For stars may look pretty but they're too distant
they're light-years away.
And scars? Well, they're inescapably
tattooed on your skin.

PERRFECT

"ERRING is an indispensable part of achieving PERFECT
In fact, the inventor of such word must have even erred him-/herself in failing to spell it

Journal Stickers Season Na Naman!

THE COFFEE SONG
I
Baby I was walking down the street
Saw you smile
Waiting for a little glance you'd throw at me
But then you walked away
I didn't even get your name
Hoping I would bump to you the following day

Refrain I
And then the next day you came up and said hello
No one's ever made me feel this happy glow
I can't believe that this is happening to me
You brought to life one of my biggest fantasies

Chorus:
I love you
Girl I know it's just too soon
I need you
How about we take a cup of coffee?
Then you'll love me too

II
Baby can I't least just have a kiss
A few like this
The pro'lly I can show y'a little place called bliss
Come a little closer
I'mma talk a little softer
I'mma squeeze a little fighter
I'mma dig a little deeper

Refrain 2
And then the next day you will come and say hello
I know that no one's given you this happy glow
You won't believe that this is happening for real
I brought to life the way the things I know you want to feel

(Repeat Chorus)

(Repeat Refrain 2)

(Repeat Chorus)
