How Social Networks Breed Tabloidization

The problem w/ using the likes of Facebook and Twitter as a reposting vehicle is the users' lack of firm grasp of what is verifiable & what's not, of when to spread news or how in the ethical frame of reference.

We're only Tweeps, not News Hawks.
We're but a Status Updater, not a Reporter.

Konting news lang na makita on the Internet, we repost as if to own such brilliant quotables or sensationalized news. Ever heard of Plagiarism or Responsible Journalism? Truly we're no news hawks to affirm, nor are we adequate to repost or retweet speculative reports just so we could draw attention to our postings.

In layman's terms, social networks tend to lay a fertile ground for the Undesirable Culture of Tsismis. Are you that earnest to play a part in the Tabloidization of your own Facebook account?
