I (co-)wrote this song back in July and why it was memorable is explained in this video journal:
HINDI KO KAYA
Written by Jeff Cifra and Kristoff Guela
Musical Arrangement by Jake Lumacad, Bimbo Yance & Josh Villegas
I
Kailan mo madarama
Ang pag-ibig ko sa'yo?
Paano malalaman
Kung lagi kang lalayo?
Hindi pa ba ito sapat?
Binuhos na ang lahat-lahat
Ng pag-ibig ko
Sa iyo...
II
Paanong magsimula
Hindi ko pa matanto
Nais ipahatid sa'yo
Gumuhong aking mundo?
Pa'no maiintindihan
Kasama mo'ng puso paglisan
Ako ay iniwang
Mag-isa?
CHORUS
Hindi ko kaya
Ang mabuhay pa
Ngayong wala ka na...
III
Sabihin mo sa'kin
Anong dapat kong gawin
Upang ikaw ay magbalik
Mabalot ng 'yong halik
Ibibigay ko sa'yong lahat
Tanging sa'yo ako'y tapat
Sana'y maniwala't
Pakinggan
(Repeat CHORUS)
Instrumental Adlib
LAST CHORUS
Hindi ko kaya
Ang mabuhay pa
Ngayong wala ka na...
Pagkat tanging sa'yo
Umikot ang mundo
Sana'y pakinggan mo
Mahal, hindi ko kaya...
Most thankful to my bi ep ep too for this gift albeit given out of nowhere on an occasionless day (actually, there was an occasion. We were at a hotel party, celebrating our ka-barkada's birthday. But it wasn't my birthday! It turned out the surprise was on me! Sweet bi ep ep!).
Let's see which song/stage I am in these days. Hmmm...

(Almost) Nicked in the Nick of Time
Nov. 25, 2011
Around 2:00 p.m.
Boarding the train at GMA-Kamuning Station, I had my iTouch playing when, out of protective habit, I groped for my pockets & learned that one of which was almost empty. In a snap, I alarmingly checked why & saw this guy fishing my iTouch out. With a glare, I instantly grabbed it back as we both hopped in between the closing doors of the train.
Mabilis ang mga pangyayari. He pretended to be rummaging something in his knapsack (worn on his front), which I suspect was his modus operandi to hook my iTouch's cord onto attaching it with his busyness with his bag.
Inside the train, I continued to throw him questioning stares and observed that he seemed disoriented. Thus the display of a restless behavior, pointing at some guy, whom I even doubted an accomplice but apparently NOT, as the latter is held closer by what looked like his girlfriend and the former (the thief) alighted the train ALONE right at the next station (Cubao).
In this video, notice how he must have detected me trying to camcord him (for ID purposes) and turned his back directly onto my direction.
Beware and please report to the police once you see this familiar face.

Love Aight
There is
Love at first sight.
Love without any sight.
Love in hindsight.
Love by a parasite.
But what I want
is
Love with you day and night.
Love at first sight.
Love without any sight.
Love in hindsight.
Love by a parasite.
But what I want
is
Love with you day and night.
A Lifeless' Epiphanies
Lovelorn - the most powerful powerlessness.
Some bad things never lust.
There are naturally some people whom you'd love to kill yet hate to see dying.
How do you start your dream? By sleeping. Rest is riches.
How do you make your dreams real? By waking up. Reality is wealthy.

A Breathless Time to Love
is my deep respect for this young Korean director Ik-Joon Yang,
whom my bestfriend Vanessa and I chanced upon at the
2011 Cinemanila Film Festival yesterday.
He's not just a dazzling director; he's also a talented actor & writer.
Talk about breathless time to love him in awe.

This Is Me Series: Carrotified
I hate carrots. Since I was a kid. That stinking memory of accidentally eating spoiled carrots lingers to this day.
I heart pasta but who hearts Tofi? Spot it! |
But when my friend Tiki made a name-customized mini cake for me (baking care of Tiki, naming Cyril), things have taken a beautified twist - I wolfed down cupcakes like never before,
not having a faint idea they're made from carrots until I asked.
You tricky! I mean Tiki!
This is me defying my urge against carrots.
This is me betraying my appetite.
This is me CARROTIFIED!
RelationSHIP
The relationship I desire is the relationship that puts
in it, that which gets 2 people on board
to steer & rock together & sail through the
wildest & calmest waves,
and that which, at the end of the day, is worth toting to
a sunset & another sunrise.

11.11.11
There's really nothing special to celebrate today. Not an anniversary, a special holiday vacation or a breakthrough. Or just anything personally calibered a life milestone. Except that I got this text:
"Happy 11.11.11"
Which reminds me of a conversation I can reckon worthier than this superficial 11.11.11 human rarity:
I know, I know. It's not exactly how it went as it seemed to have looked like.
Not as witty or random as it initially transpired.
This convo was, in reality, an offshoot of an earlier proposal.
Somehow, I, yes, I drove this conversation to pace this way.
But like what was said in the thread leading to this iota of convo, it's the "thought that counts."
A thought regarded more special as it willhopefully eventually lead to my own special day guaranteed Starbucks-gifted.

T: Knock, knock.
Me: Who's there?

Me: I am gonna give a Starbucks planner to who(m)?
T: YOU!
Me: (speechless)

If There Were No MTRCB
Wow. And I thought the Philippines has got the
strongest expression of democracy.
Here came this man, representing Northern Ireland
and its demeanor unbecoming a borough status.
I can just imagine the socio-political (not to mention, moral) repercussions of this "freedom of expression" on national television had it happened here.
Should the MTRCB ask me of its effect on me?
Nothing. Nothing notable.
Did I just say NOTE-able?

Mediocre Could Be Best
"A mediocre idea that generates enthusiasm will go further than a great idea that inspires no one"
-Mary Kay Ash
What I envy about mediocre performers, along with the horde of procrastinators,
is that they LIVE LONGER.
The quest for immortality seems a piece of cake to them as they sail through laid-back hours and copious breaks,
whereas the overdetermined achievers and go-getters imperil their own insanity
over complex formulas and their own life by an
ungracious cardiac.
A Dose of Paulo Coelho: Child
"Holding the hand of the child within me.
For this child, nothing is impossible"
For this child, nothing is impossible"
Exactly what I've learned from my FLEX seminar last September, when we're at a loss for direction, go back.
Go back being a child.
Take risks.
Believe.
Wish.
Question no option.
Trust.
Ask.
Get what you want.
Desire.
Jump!
It's so fun to be back a child.
Today, as in every single day of my life's remainder,
I am a child.
Today is Thursday, Tomorrow is Friday, We-we-we So Excited
I just got Blackd!
Could it be the possibility of someone asking me out on a Friday night (*jingle*)?
Could it be me movie-marathoning my newest VCD (yes, no DVDs were on sale) purchases?
Could it be some occult event in store for me coming on the fourth of November in 2011?
Could it be my projection that tomorrow my voice will be back in tiptop shape (after 3 weeks of damage thanks to taxing taping in Tanay & Quezon and almost a month of heart-mending inebriation, everybody now "come on!")?
Alas, videoke season is just 'round the corner!
I don't know.
Who does?
No one.
But for tomorrow, I am no less than excited.
Blaming
For one, that's my latest LSS. NO, NO, NO, not that by Rebecca but by the gLee boys.
Then, here's this unexplainable feeling of looking forward to tomorrow's dawn.
Could it be the muscle pain I'll feel from today's workout (after more than a month of hiatus, come on!)?
Could it be the nearness to the day I might run 10K again on Saturday with my goodest friends Frey and Allen (after more than a year of hiatus, another come on!)?
Could it be me movie-marathoning my newest VCD (yes, no DVDs were on sale) purchases?
